Twins defeat Tigers at Metrodome

The Minnesota Twins faced off against the Detroit Tigers yesterday at Metrodome with the Twins securing the victory 5 to 1. It was a great baseball game that fans with Twins tickets will remember for quite some time. There’s not much better than a baseball game so get your MLB tickets before its too late.

Twins pitcher Kevin Slowey (4.57 ERA) got the win, while Andrew Oliver (3.00 ERA) took the loss for the Tigers. Kevin Slowey went 6 innings for the Twins, allowed 4 hits, no home runs and one earned run with one walk and 4 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Twins was Brian Duensing (1.83), Matt Guerrier (1.72), Jose Mijares (2.25), and Jon Rauch (2.40). The Tigers’s starter Andrew Oliver went 6 innings, allowed 8 hits, one home run and 2 earned runs with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Casey Fien (0.00) also pitched for the Tigers. With the win, Slowey’s record goes to 8-5, while Oliver drops to 0-2.

In addition to the 5 runs, the Twins put up 9 hits and committed one error. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Twins, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. The Tigers didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Tigers got one run, 7 hits and 2 errors.

Umpiring duties were performed by Bill Welke, Jim Reynolds, Tim Welke and Scott Barry. There were 40,671 Twins ticket holders in attendance at Metrodome.
